Lorraine was born April 30, 1941 in Massachusetts to Carlos and Deolinda (Soares) Mello, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Dartmouth High School, earned her real estate license and opened her own real estate and rental agency.

She married Donald F. Oliver in 1959.  Together, they raised six children.  Lorrie-Lynn (Michael) Sizemore, Susan (Darren) Grueschow, Donald (Jeanette) Oliver, Kelly-Jean Oliver, Michelle Socorro, and Christopher Oliver.

In addition to her children, Lorraine is survived by her sister, Diane Mello of New Bedford, Massachusetts; her grandchildren, Bethany-Ann Kipps (David), David Oliver II, Andrew Oliver, Amanda Grueschow, Michael Grueschow, Mary Grace Sizemore (Ryan), Morgan Sizemore, Lindy Oliver, and Haley Graham.  She was also proud of her nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband; her siblings, Donald Mello, Eileen Nelson, Raymond Mello, and her grandchild, Melissa Oliver.

She was proud of her Portuguese heritage and was a member of the Portuguese of Colorado D.E.S.  She enjoyed a fierce game of cards, time with family, cooking, crocheting, crafts, and gardening.  Her family will miss her spunky, sassy, quick-witted humor, long talks, and her hugs and kisses.

Due to COVID the family will hold a private family memorial service at the Shrine of Remembrance.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Special Olympics Colorado 12450 E. Arapahoe Rd. Suite C. Centennial, CO 80112
