Born to Harriet and Ted Beals on February 8, 1931, Louise was a proud third generation native of Colorado Springs.  She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 grandsons, Tyson & Todd Spear; her sister, Frances Davis; and her brother, Ted Beals, Jr.  Also preceding her in death was her husband of 43 years, Larry Spear.

Louise graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1949.  She married Larry after graduation and together they parented five children.  After raising this family that gave Louise great joy and happiness, she held the position of Retirement Counselor at Medalion Retirement Community for 20 years.

Louise was a member of First Congregation Church.

The family that continued to bless Louise’s life includes her five children, Larilou Spear (partner, Dan), Larry (wife, Brickey), Lynn (wife, Cayla), Cindy (husband, Rick), Luke (wife, Suzanne); and her beloved niece, Susan Coulson.  The grandchildren are Dale (wife, Laurie), Cheerie (husband, Mason), Kristy (husband, Chris), Caylyn, Jessie, and Justine (husband, Greg).  The great grandchildren are Rayden, Braxton, Luke, Kylie, Gavin, Adley, Jace, Logan, Damon, and Coleston.  Louise’s extended family is Vicki & John Roherts and Sharon Hinsey.

Louise requested there be no service and her resting place is a niche beside her Mom & Dad at the Shrine of Remembrance in her beloved Colorado Springs.

  1. To all the Dear Spear family, I send my deepest sympathy to each of you in the loss of your Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. I know the sorrow of losing dear loved ones. We just have to remember that our Lord is with each and every one of you and will help you through the grief of your loss. Look forward to a new period in your life and remember GOD our Lord and savior has us all in his hand. I’m sure Louise is happy and so glad to see all the family that have gone before her. What a Blessing she was a Christian. We know she is happy and no pain. She would want you all to smile and join her when your time comes.

  2. Oh how we will miss our precious friend Louise. Always enjoyed our times we shared with you. So blessed that we were able to have wonderful visits this summer. We will miss the visits we shared. My heart is glad you made to your heavenly Home. Spear family we love you all and we loved your Mom.

  3. I am so sorry for your loss. Louise has been a wonderful, kind friend to me since Gary’s death. I am missing her, and will continue to have this vacent spot in my heart for her now that she is gone.
