Lucretia “Lucy” Apodaca passed away on November 8, 2016 at the age of 89. She was a long time resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She spent the last two years in Chicago, Illinois with her daughter, Linda, and her husband, Miles Jones.
Lucy was born on June 26, 1927 to Cirilio and Lucaria Medina in Walsenburg, Colorado. She enjoyed working in her yard, dancing, traveling, and anything sweet. She attended, volunteered, and loved many of the events at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Apodaca; her sister, Nora Padilla; and her brothers: Joe, Dan, and Benny Medina.
She is survived by her children: Virginia Santistevan, Bill Maestas, Carol Apodaca, Leo Apodaca, Linda Apodaca and Gary Apodaca; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
A Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 3rd at Holy Trinity Church in Colorado Springs, 3122 Poinsetta Drive, 80907. A reception will be held at Hotel Elegante, 2886 S. Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, CO following the Mass.
