Scranton, Madelyn B. – age 93 of Colorado Springs, Co., formerly of Lexington, KY passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012 at her home. Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Corman B. Scranton; parents, Ira J.M. Brunswick and Aleen S. Brunswick; and sister, Dorothy J. Awbrey. Survivors include sons, Robert J. M. Scranton (Carolyn) of Colorado Springs, CO; C. Barth Scranton, Jr, (Mae Lee) of Pataskala, OH and daughter, Suzanne Graham (Ross) of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Barth Scranton, Cheryl Stafford, Diane Guiler, Kimberly Daniels, and Sarah Graham; and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Scranton was born in Pittsfield, IL July 2, 1918. She won 2nd place in the State of Illinois vocal contest and sang in church choirs throughout her life and in The Lexington Singers for over 30 years. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter J.
