Malee Schoon

Malee Schoon, age 61, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1977, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at her home. She was an assembler at the Schlage Lock Company in Colorado Springs, a loving wife, and wonderful mother.

Malee Vittayodom was born on November 14, 1950 in Thailand to the late Sakorn and Sanguan (Gajangnam) Vittayodom. She met and married Gary A. Schoon in Thailand. She was the former president of Wat Santidhamma Temple. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and bingo.

She is survived by her husband: Gary Schoon of Colorado Springs; her daughter: Michelle “Shelly” Baum of Golden, Colorado; her sister: Laung Vittayodom of Thailand; and her sister-in-law: Marian (husband, Doug) Bachman of Colorado Springs; and several nieces and nephews in Thailand.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Bethel Lutheran Church. A reception will follow the services in the Christ Center at Bethel. Private inurnment will be at the Bethel Columbarium.
