May 13, 1924 – January 13, 2021

    Margaret Brown Morrison passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.  She was a Colorado Springs resident since 1986 and was formerly a resident of Utah (Salt Lake City and Dugway Proving Grounds) for 20 years. 

   Margaret was born on May 13, 1924 to Willard Frank Brown and Dorothy Mae (Fields) Brown in Malta, Montana.  She attended Indiana Central College, now known as the University of Indianapolis.  On July 8, 1951, she married John H. Morrison in Bedford, Indiana.

Margaret is the founder of the Naomi Fellowship at the Village Seven Presbyterian Church and was highly active with the ministry and with her church.

   She is survived by three sons: Mark, Steve, and Jim Morrison; two daughters: Rhonda Porter and Cheryl Chapman.  Both Steve and Jim were adopted from Korea. She is also survived by a brother, Keith Brown; a sister, Lucy Alexander; 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

   A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Village Seven Presbyterian Church, 4040 Nonchalant Circle South, Colorado Springs, CO 80917.

Inurnment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Rose Gardens in Colorado Springs.
