Margaret Evelyn (Wilson) Brown, 92, formerly of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on March 28, 2012. She was born on April 13, 1919 in Hope, Arkansas. She called Pueblo home for the last 5 years of her life.

Margaret, or “Gigi,” as she was affectionately known by her great grandchildren and their friends, was a sweet, generous, and loving woman who touched the lives of all who knew her. She loved her family and friends, and they loved her. She is already so sadly missed.

She is survived by her son: Steve (Kathy) Brown; son-in-law: Cyrus Q. Shelton; granddaughters: Kimberly (John) McManaman and Ann (Nick) Button; grandsons: Trey (Kim) Hornaday and Ben Brown; and many nephews, nieces, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Dale; parents: Emma and Clyde Wilson; stepfather: Joe Hendrix; brothers: Herb (Katherine and Dulcie) and William (Dorothy) Wilson; sisters: Geneva (Charles) Morris and Sylva (Kay) Fernald; daughter: Peggy Shelton; and son-in-law: Ralph J. Hornaday.

Margaret’s family would like to thank the loving support and care of the staff at the Sangre de Cristo Hospice.

Funeral services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Private entombment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Alcove of Hope.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice & Palliative Care, 1207 Pueblo Boulevard Way, Pueblo, CO 81005.
