Maria “Koko” Socorro Ferrel-Arredondo, age 68, passed away on July 10, 2021. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for twenty years and was formerly a resident of Denver. She was an entrepreneur, capable of making a successful business from almost anything.
Maria was born on November 19, 1952, to Casimiro Ferrel and Soledad Lopez.
She loved traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. Maria was a member of Hope Church.
Maria is survived by her son, Arturo A. Arredondo; her daughters, Julisa Garcia and Angelina Coronado; her brothers, Antonio Ferrel and Juan Ferrel; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her lifelong friend, “bestie” Alfredo Arredondo. She is preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, July 19, 2021, with a funeral service at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, all at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel.
