Marie Fae Wickham (93) passed away May 7. She was a resident of Security, Colorado for 63 years. Her last position before retirement was with the commissary at Ft. Carson, Colorado.
Marie was born March 12, 1928 to George William Ord and Mary Ellen [Batten] Ord.
On March 20, 1946 she married Virgil C. Wickham in Glenwood, Iowa.
She graduated from Silver City High School in 1946. She was a member of Red Hats for many years in Security.
She is survived by three children; Ron, Ed, Mike, brothers Jim & Jerry Ord and sister Lois Linter; grandchildren, Brent & Keith Wickham, Kem Paplow. Kim & Shannon, Arron, Robert, Jacob, Jonathan, Wendy, Christine, Katherine, Rachel, Ann; 40 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, granddaughter Katie, 5 brothers, and 4 sisters.
A visitation will be held 1 pm – 2 pm May 17 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E Fountain Blvd., Colo Spgs, Colo. 80910. The memorial service will be held at 2 pm in the same location with internment to be immediately following at Memorial Gardens, 3825 Airport Rd., Colo. Spgs., Colo. 80910.
