Mark A. Johannessen, 52, of Dallas, TX, formerly of Colorado Springs, passed away September 11, 2015. Mark was born on June 17, 1963 to proud parents, Jerry and Judy Johannessen.
Beloved son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, & friend – Mark was extremely fond of his family, friends, animals, and work. He was a kind person, hard worker, and above all, good friend to all.
Mark graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 1981 and pursued his career in the restaurant industry. He was General Manager at Texas Spice in Omni Hotel & Resorts.
He is survived by his loving mother, Judy; brother, Jeff; niece, Nicole; great-nephews: Kristopher and Timothy; great-niece, Madalynn; aunt and uncle, Janice and Gene; aunt Iva and uncle Bill; and several cousins and friends.
He now joins in heaven his beloved father, Jerry; both sets of grandparents: the Johannessen’s and the Nicolaus’s; his uncle, Leland; and many loving pets.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 5-7pm at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. Funeral Wednesday, September 23, 2015, 2:00pm at Shrine of Remembrance with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Mark will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
