Mark was born in Oakland, California December 5th, 1946 to William and Clare Schutte.

A cowboy at heart, Mark worked ranches during his youth in Northern California and later he answered the nation’s call, serving honorably in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. After completing his Naval service, he settled in Southern California and found a new passion; surfing. He eventually found his way to the open road as a truck driver.

In Fullerton, CA, he met the love of his life, Debra Campbell. They married in Reno, Nevada in 1983 and shortly thereafter moved to Colorado Springs, CO where Mark worked for Sinton Dairy for over 25 years before retiring.

If Mark were here, he’d tell you of all the experiences he had and all the places he had been. Being a devoted husband, a kind friend and a loving father were the greatest achievements of his life. His family & friends cherish every moment they had with him and thank him for the love and joy he brought to their lives. Fair Winds and Following Seas……

He is survived by his wife, Debra; children: Spencer (Rachael) Schutte and Parker Schutte; grandchildren: Cheyenne and Carson Schutte; sister: Susan Baum and nephews, Michael and David Baum, and Brian and Steve Schutte; along with amazing, supportive extended family.
