Mathias Jade Fritz, a lifelong Alamosa and Colorado Springs resident, passed away August 9, 2018 in Alamosa, Colorado.
He was born July 4, 1978 to Steven Fritz and Anna (Martinez) Fritz-Lampton in Alamosa.
Mathias was an amazing father who loved his daughters and his whole family greatly. He was an avid Broncos fan and enjoyed paintballing and foosball.
He is survived by two daughters, Gianna and Kira Fritz; the mother of his children, Jamie Teckenbrock; a brother, Derek Fritz; two sisters, Layla and Melissa Fritz; and his mother, Anna Fritz-Lampton, and her husband, Frank Lampton.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 715 4th Street Alamosa, CO 81101. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Inurnment will be private.

10 Oct 2019Mathias Jade Fritz was the baddest man alive! Mat hands down was the greatest man to ever walk the earth. Before him his father Steve Fritz held the title. Currently his brother Derek holds the keys to the greatness that the entire Fritz family possess. Mathias was not only handsome and strong a gentleman and a scholar he was extremely intelligent as well. Both book and street smart. His heart, was that of a lions and it showed through his everlasting love, selflessness and generosity. Mats passion and drive were top notch, and his work ethic was second to none and his abilities reflected these characteristics on a daily basis. No matter what he was doing whether it be cooking for his family or working his a** off everyday Mat always gave 110%. I’ve had the privilege and honor of living with Mathias and his family for over half of my life and counting. The stuff I was taught and the things I’ve learned in the Fritz household are priceless. Mat and the Fritz family have the s*** that legends are made of. Thankfully his legacy lives on through his daughters his siblings and most of his immediate family. He will be greatly missed and will forever remain a vanguard to the lives that he touched. Mathias Jade Fritz, beyond compare, a perfect paramount, a superior supreme being not of this planet. The baddest man alive.
