Mirna Maria Rojas-Gonzalez – January 12, 2026

In Loving Memory of Mirna Maria Rojas-Gonzalez

Mirna Maria Rojas-Gonzalez, a devoted mother, cherished abuela, and beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mirna was born and raised in Puebla, Puebla, Mexico, where from an early age she established deep seated roots in the love of her family, heritage, and passion for cooking.

Mirna was born on September 10, 1973, to José Fortino Rojas-López and Mirna Maria Gonzalez. From the very beginning, family was the center of her world, a value she carried with her throughout her life and passed on to her children and grandchildren.

She was an incredible mother to her four sons: Carlos Rojas-Gonzalez and his wife, Sara Rojas-Gonzalez; Jorge Felix-Rojas Jr., Fernando Felix-Rojas, and Juan Pablo Felix-Rojas.

One of her greatest joys in life was being an abuela to her three grandchildren: Katjaana, Khaleecio, and Aayva, whom she loved endlessly and fiercely. Mirna also leaves behind an extensive family in Mexico, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Mirna found happiness in life’s simple but meaningful moments. She loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports, spending time surrounded by her family, and cooking for those she loved, a gift she was truly amazing at. Her kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and love, where meals were made with love and everyone left with a full stomach and more importantly a heart full of joy.

Above all else, Mirna will be remembered for her strength, kindness, unwavering love for her family, and the way she made everyone feel cared for. Mirna’s legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and the countless memories she created with those who loved her.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. all at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.  Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life honoring Mirna Maria Rojas-Gonzalez will be held on Sunday, January 25, at Madera’s Grill and Cantina, located at 9650 Antler Creek Dr., Peyton, Colorado, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate her life, share memories, and honor the love she gave so freely.

Mirna will be deeply missed and her love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and cherished her.
