If you met Monnie, she stole a place in your heart! Beautiful inside and out. What a prayer warrior. She never failed to remind me she was praying for my wayward son and daughter! She just made heaven a little brighter if that’s possible! You will be greatly missed! You blessed me beyond words!

What a fun friend Monnie was! We had many fun times in high school, college and church. After she moved to Colorado we didn’t see each other very much, but there were some visits back to Texas for her and we were able to visit her in Colorado Springs. I am so happy I was able to attend her 90th birthday party last year. When I celebrated my 90th last June she insisted on paying for some flowers for my party since she couldn’t be there. Monnie was a delight and I’m glad she was my friend since we were teens! Until we meet again dear friend.

Dearest Monnie! Jesusʼ love and light through Monnie was bright and unwavering. In 30+ years i never heard a negative word pass her lips, regardless of her health or situation. Always kind, always encouraging…that was Monnie, my friend.
She will be most surely missed by many people, but will be one of the first we want to see in Heaven. She is already preparing the celebration!!

She shared her loved of murder mysteries, sweet late night treats and traveling the world to spread goodness and a smile with me from am early age.
I have dozens of memories with her that ended in tears from us laughing so hard. She was THE grandma to keep the party going.

Monnie loved everyone! It was impossible to be a new person at Village Seven for very long before she found you. She was not satisfied with just learning your name, she wanted to know all about you… and of course to give you a hug. We will miss seeing her walking up the aisle, smiling and greeting everyone as if they were her dearest friend. For Monnie, we were all her dearest friends. Monnie is where she longed to be, with her Lord and Savior. We can only imagine the plays and productions she already has underway with a truly heavenly cast. We miss you Monnie! But we will see you again – looking forward to that hug.
