Nancy Anne Pollart

Nancy Anne Pollart (Griebel) was born in Denver, February 20, 1941 and passed July 7, 2015 after a long battle with Alzheimers.

She was the eldest of six children, born to Ralph J. Griebel and Hazel Tabitha Griebel (Dent).

She grew up in Colorado Springs, graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1959. She worked for Hewlett Packard in Colorado Springs and in Oregon retiring during her time in Oregon. She married James Frank Pollart (now deceased) in 1960 and is survived by her loving children and their families: Laura and Denis Arey, Mark Pollart, Chandra, Rainey and Mike Grabowski. She dearly loved her granddaughter Tabitha Pollart (Barie), and great grandson Hunter Barie.

She was preceded in death by her brother Mike Griebel of Oregon. She will be deeply missed by surviving family: sister-in-law Michelle Griebel of Oregon; Colorado family: brother Jerry Griebel and wife Linda, brother Andy Griebel and wife Bobbie, sister Beth Yates and spouse Bill Willie, brother David Griebel and wife Alice. She was close to and will be missed by nieces Christine Griebel of Oregon and Jen Griebel of Colorado Springs, and numerous other nieces, nephews.

Nancy was happiest being surrounded by family and friends. She loved traveling and spent many happy years with her family in Oregon; collecting rocks and going to the coast. She left Oregon only to spend as much time as possible with her daughter and granddaughter in Las Vegas and to travel back to Colorado to see family. She was there to take her son-in-law and her sister to treatments during their bouts with cancer and returned to Colorado in 2005 to be with her father before his passing.

She was creative and loved art of all kinds. Some of her favorite things to do included spending time with her granddaughter Rainey collecting rocks and painting, and of course she loved her dogs: Apache, Nakia, Brandy, Lilly, and many that were special in her life (Dexter, Beanie, Molly, Duke, Buster).

A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel.

We will miss her sweet smile, witty humor and loving, caring personality.

“Rest in peace Mom you are our Angel now.”
