Nita Sangalang, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, CO died Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Life Care Center of Colorado Springs.
Born in 1929 in Manila, Philippines, she was a housewife to a police officer, Jose Sangalang (who preceded her in death in 1998). They went on to have eight children: Myrna, Elvira, Emelita, Dave, Reynaldo, Loida, Edna (deceased), and Elizabeth (Ethel).
She worked at the Broadmoor Hotel and at Hewlett-Packard as a food attendant for several years. Nita loved good food and loved to socialize with family and friends. She enjoyed shopping. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. She sought God through prayers, worship songs/music and Bible reading.
She is survived by many children, grandchildren & great grandchildren with the family surnames of: Vicente, Ysip, Bibra, Sangalang, Foster, Gabriel, Pelt, Larsen, Goldberg, Halfman & Surnip.
