Nila Ann Fons
October 15, 1925 – April 12, 2013
Nila Ann (Scott) Fons, beloved mother of August III, Bryan, and Ruth, and loving and faithful wife of August M. Fons, Jr. for 67 years, passed away on April 12, 2013 after a prolonged illness.
Although departed from this earth, her loving spiritual presence will remain with us forever.
Nila is survived by her husband and their three children. She is also survived by daughters-in-law: Lynn Fons and Gabriela Trevino-Fons; grandchildren: Trina and Chelsea; and great-grandchildren: Lora and Kenneth. She loved all of them very much.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Private inurnment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
