Norma Jean Uhrich, age 88, passed away on July 30, 2021. She was a resident of Ft. Myers Beach, Florida and was formerly a resident of Palatine, Illinois.
Norma was a Registered Nurse and worked as an emergency room nurse in Chicago after graduation. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in Nursing. Norma also worked for the Red Cross and Life Source for many years.
Norma was born on November 4, 1932, to Primm Kerchenfaut and Marie Kerchenfaut (Anliker) in Gibson City, Illinois. On January 26th, 1957, she married George J. Uhrich in Champaign, Illinois.
Norma was fond of making cookies and pies. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren and having visitors in Florida.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years George J. Uhrich, their children Beverly and James Majewski, James and Dorsey Uhrich and William and Diane Uhrich. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her brother William Kerchenfaut and niece Kara Kizior. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathryn Marie Uhrich and her sister Beverly Kerchenfaut and sister in-law Jean Kerchenfaut.
