Patricia Fern Wohlfeil, age 96, passed away on December 25, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born to Wilder and Louise Chase on January 1, 1929, in Ashland, Wisconsin.
After receiving her BA from Northland College in 1951, Patricia taught English and Spanish and was the High School librarian in Marion, Wisconsin. She married Franklin Wohlfeil in 1954 and began the life of an Army wife, had two children, and later was grandmother to Alexandra Kaspar (Brian), Chase, Parker (deceased), and Madeline Matzinger.
Patricia is survived by her son, Robert Wohlfeil; daughter, Elizabeth “Betsy” Anne Matzinger (Jim); and brothers, Paul and Don Chase (Connie).
