Peter John Hedemark was born on September 11, 1974 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He passed away on August 23, 2017 in Oklahoma. He was 42.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Hedemark; his children, Michael and Sadie; his sister, Leta Taylor; and his niece and nephew, Emily and Kenny; his brother, Curt Hedemark, wife Lynn and nephew Bloom. He is also survived by his uncle, Calvin Hamilton; his stepfather, Chuck Hedemark; and his grandparents, Ted and Margaret Hedemark. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hilda and Calvin Hamilton.
He was working for Swift Transportation and traveling coast to coast. Prior to that he worked as a Master Plumber for Fenton Plumbing. He served in the US Army.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910 followed by a reception at Nancy Lewis Park, 2615 Logan Ave., Colorado Springs, CO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to an educational fund for Michael and Sadie.
Do not resent growing old. Peter was denied that privilege. He was a remarkable father, son, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
