Priscilla Almera Brown, age 81, passed away on December 9, 2019.  She was a resident of Colorado Springs for over 40 years.  Priscilla was a former cleaning lady and took great pride in making everything sparkle!

Priscilla was born on August 2, 1938. She lived most of her young life in Texas.  She was happily married to Manuel Paul Brown for 34 years. He preceded her in death in 1998.  She is also preceded in death by her parents, Vivian Satterwhite Johnson and Sam B. Johnson, a sister Annette Peninger, and brother Leslie Johnson.

Priscilla loved music! She learned to play the guitar and keyboard and wrote her own music. And, oh how she loved to sing!  She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church since 2005.  She was also a very proud veteran of the United States Women’s Army Corp where she served from 1959 until she was honorably discharged in March of 1963.  She inspired many with her patriotism and devotion to her country.

Priscilla is survived by her two loving sisters, Sherrel Peninger of Goliad, Texas and Juanita Hulen of Port Lavaca, Texas.  She has numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2019 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 1409 Palmer Park, Colorado Springs, Co 80909.  There will be a private military burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
