Randolf “Randy” Binder – January 16, 2026

Randolf “Randy” Binder, 64, passed away unexpectedly on January 16, 2026, in his Colorado Springs home. Born in 1961, Randy was a man of kindness, humor, and a genuine love for those around him.

He was best known for his quick wit and his very sweet nature. He possessed a truly kind soul and spirit that touched everyone he met. He thrived on helping people and made it his personal mission to make anybody laugh, no matter the circumstances. Whether it was a well-timed joke or a helping hand, Randy’s presence brought light and warmth to every room he entered.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Renate Wheatley, and his brother, Michael Binder.

He is survived by his father, Arnold Binder; his sisters: Patricia Barfield, Ramona Binder, and Kathy Bass; and his brother, Ronald Kruse. He also leaves behind many other beloved family members and friends who will miss his laughter, sweetness and generosity. Randy is also survived by his beloved cat, Lily, who stole his heart and remained his constant companion.

A casual drop in gathering to celebrate Randy’s life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, in the community room at The Salvation Army in Colorado Springs at 824 Yuma Street.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of Randy’s helpful spirit and his love for Lily, the family suggests that donations be made to a local animal rescue or the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.
