Regino Trujillo Jr. was a Colorado Springs native and graduated from Palmer High School in 1966. He was married to the love of his life, Loretta Trujillo (Cano) for 53 years, they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends. Regino is survived by his 3 children; Brian and Yvonne Trujillo and their two children Nate and Shea. His daughter, Regina and Travis Matlack. His daughter, Teresa and 1SG Jason Lamb and their two children Raylee and Trent. Preceded in death by parents, Regino Trujillo Sr. and Mary Lucy Trujillo (Rivera) and his two older sisters, Juanita Lefefe, and Jessie (Billy) Diaz. Regino is survived by his sister, Cathy (Ray) Ayotte.

     Regino was a certified sheet metal worker for over 10 years. He later went on to serve for the Colorado Springs Police Department for 33 years, retiring in 2008. He served as a patrol officer as well as a detective in the Crimes against children and Pawn Unit.

     Regino had many names, Gino, Ray, Dad, Uncle Danny, and Papo. He was highly involved with his family especially his grandkids. He proudly attended their numerous sporting events. He was an avid Colorado sports fan and enjoyed coaching and playing softball. He loved to travel and ride his gold wing across the country. He loved everything Colorado, hunting, fishing, and rafting. He was a dedicated family man and was the first to offer help. Regino was our protector, our rock, our biggest supporter, and most of all our hero.

Private family service on Wednesday, December 9th. Funeral mass at Corpus Christi Catholic Church on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 11:00am followed by Honor Guard after mass.
