Ronald Edgar Fortin, 89 years, passed away on July 31, 2025. Ron was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired civil services member for the United States Army. He was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Ronald was born on June 6, 1936 to Edgar Fortin and Delia (Sheridan) Fortin in Lawrence, MA.
Ron was fond of golfing. He also enjoyed skiing and had a great appreciation for cooking and entertaining. He is a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and attended Central Catholic High School. He served in the Department of Defense for 52 years.
He is survived by his loving wife YuSun; his sons David, Eric, Gregory and Christopher; sister Dorothea; his grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded by his parents, sisters Claire and Lois, brother Norman and son Andrew.
A funeral Mass service will be held at St. Andrew Kim Catholic Church on Monday, August 11 at 11:30am at 45115 E. Pikes Peak Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80916. A military memorial service will be held following at 1:00pm at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80925. A reception will be held following the memorial at King Buffet, 801 North Academy Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
