Rosa Ward, age 91, a resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020. She was a homemaker, army wife, and worked many years at Hewlett Packard. Rosa was born March 22, 1929 in Kempten, Germany to the late Joseph and Maria (Atzkern) Hirmer. She attended school in Germany where she met her late husband, Elliott S. Ward. She was a member of The Retired Enlisted Association Women’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed socializing with her girlfriends, trips to Cripple Creek, and going to garage sales. She was the oldest of 9, and survived by her sisters; Maria Koehler and Brigette Schelle. She is also survived by her brother, Anton Hirmer.
Outdoor entombment will be held at 2:30pm, Friday, December 4, 2020 At the Shrine of Remembrance, Garden of Angels Mausoleum.
Rosa will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

1 Apr 2023So sad.. my mother ( Meta) and I visited Rosa in 2015.. they had been friends since the 50’s. Loved her. We kept in touch via Christmas cards. She was a spunky woman even in her late 80’s. I’m sure she is rejoicing with Elliott and all her friends in heaven.
