Roy Alfred Adela Ronneburg, 36, passed away on November 9, 2021. He was a resident of Peyton for two years and was formerly a resident of Colorado Springs. He was an Active-Duty Soldier within the Colorado Army National Guard, a Mortar Platoon Sergeant and Readiness NCO for HHC 1-157 INF.

Roy was born on November 26, 1984, to Alfred Ronneburg and Maria (Adela) Ronneburg in Angeles City, Philippines.  On May 12, 2008, he married Denise Cain in Colorado Springs, CO.

Roy was fond of recreational shooting. He also enjoyed cheering on Florida State University Football team and had an appreciation for the outdoors. He attended Fountain/Fort Carson High School, graduating in 2004. He served in the United States Army for 14 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Denise; his children, Annelise and Alfie; his parents, Alfred, and Maria; and his siblings, Mica and Randell. 

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, November 17, at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 East Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. The memorial service will be held at 3:30 to 4:30 pm on Thursday, November 18 at Forestgate Church, 970 North Gate Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80921. A reception will be held following the memorial service at North Colorado Springs Readiness Center, 9510 Voyager Pkwy, Colorado Springs, CO 80920. Interment will be on Friday, November 19 at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 E Drennan Rd. Colorado Springs, CO 80929. Interment procession will start at 8:45 am.

Dress uniform will not be required for military attendees for the viewing, service, or reception; duty uniform or tasteful civilian attire is fine.  Dress uniform is encouraged but not required for military attendees for the Friday morning interment.  The family is requesting that donations can be made in Roy’s name to one of the following charities in lieu of flowers or family donations:
