Sun Cha Estrada passed away on December 11, 2014 following a prolonged illness. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for over 28 years. Sun Cha was born in South Korea and married Arthur Estrada on August 27, 1970 in Seoul, Korea.
A devoted, loving, and giving mother and grandmother, she was fond of gardening and knitting. She especially enjoyed making rosaries which she gave to friends and acquaintances and requested their prayers for her son, Charles, who received a heart transplant in September 2013. Sun Cha was an active member of Saint Andrew Kim Catholic Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur; her children: Timothy, Charles, and Caroline; her grandchildren: Morgan, Zachary, and Keagan; and one great-grandchild: Sirris. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 16, followed by rosary, at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 17 at Saint Andrew Kim Catholic Church, 4515 East Pikes Peak Ave. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. A reception will be held following interment.
