Sun I. Chong, age 75, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1977 and formerly, Seoul, Korea, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at a local hospital. She was a homemaker.
Sun I. Song was born on May 9, 1936 in Seoul to the late Chom and Yong (Chang) Song. She married Chong Ok Chong in Seoul. She is survived by her loving daughter: Hee Sun Chong of Stockton, California; three brothers: Chae Yong Song of Huston, Texas; Yong Sick Song of Denver, Colorado; and Chong Sick Song of Huston, Texas. She has three sisters: Sun Ae Pang of Denver, Colorado; Chong Suk Peters of Colorado Springs; and Chae Pun Rice of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by her grandson Albert Chong of Stockton, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister: Chun Cha Song.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 art the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services in the chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
