Susan E. Johnson, age 46, a resident of Colorado Springs since 2005 and formerly of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at her home. She was an operations expert for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance Company.
Susan Elaine Spahn was born on July 22, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio to William and Marjorie (Thirifay) Spahn. She attended school in Dayton and graduated from Caroll High School in 1984. She was also a graduate of Wright State University in Dayton. Susan married Eric A. Johnson on July 17, 1993 in Dayton. She enjoyed spending time with her stepchildren; and her nieces and nephew. She loved her animals and was a member of Holy Apostles Catholic Community.
She is survived by her mother: Marjorie Spahn of Colorado Springs; her sister: Patty (husband, John) Jumper of Colorado Springs and their children: Sara, Zoe, Ricky, Audrey and Laura. She is also survived by her step-children: Jena Myers and Jamie Johnson; and her mother-in-law: Ann Johnson.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Holy Apostles Catholic Church Chapel, 4924 N. Carefree Circle, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80917.
