Teresa Sue Litten - July 12, 2025
Teresa passed into her Heavenly Father’s loving arms on July 12, 2025, at the age of 64. She was born March 16, 1961, to Robert and LaVerne Litten in Colorado Springs, CO. She was well loved by her family, adopted family and many friends.
Teresa loved life and was always happy! She taught us to embrace everything. Teresa had a childlike faith and loved her Lord. Trust, kindness, forgiveness and compassion. Terry was grateful for everything she had.
She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church for 54 years. Teresa loved visits from family and friends and disliked it when it was time for them to leave. Always had an “I love you” and “Can I have a hug?” for visitors. Eating out at restaurants, bowling when younger, doing search for word puzzles, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and flirting with men to be able to tell them “You sure are handsome”, were some of Teresa’s passions. Teresa attended the Rocky Mountain Rehabilitation Center for disabled children as a young child. As she grew older, she attended several day programs over the years and enjoyed each of them. Her favorite pastime was coloring. Give her a new coloring book and colors and you made her day! Teresa loved everyone.
Teresa is survived by her sister; Deborah (husband, James) Harvey; nephew, Brian Matthew Harvey, niece; Valerie Nichole Harvey, aunts; Pearl Schierkolk, Bonnie Litten, and Jeanie Litten, and nine cousins. She is also survived by her adopted family, Beatriz (Teresa’s caretaker of 11 years) and Ben Garcia; their three daughters and spouses, twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Teresa is proceeded in death by her parents, uncles; Howard Jahnke, LeRoy Schierkolk, Gene Litten, Daryll Litten, Lloyd Drain and Ron Rahe, aunts; Wanda Jahnke, Kay Drain, Barbara Snyder and Sandy Rahe and cousins; Randy Drain, Rick Jahnke, and Sharyll Litten.
Heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful staff from Optimal Hospice who provided such loving care and support of Teresa and took her under their wings during this journey.
