Tress was born on February 15, 1924 to Rolly and Ruby (Richardson) Hill in Eldorado, Oklahoma. She graduated from Morton High School, Morton, Texas where she met her future husband. She was active in Women’s Home Demonstration Club and continued her membership in Colorado Cattlewomen’s Association until she moved in 2014.

She is survived by her children: Doyle (wife Dixie), Dale (wife Mary), Phyllis (husband Troy) and daughter-in-law Lisa; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Gerald (Jake) and youngest son, Don, two brothers and a sister.

A Celebration of Life will be July 8 at 10:00 AM at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel with a reception following at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center (across street from chapel).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tress’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the charity of choice.
