Victor Montilla Jongko
February 25, 1948 – December 20, 2025
Victor Antonio Montilla Jongko, age 77, passed away on December 20, 2025. He was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for four years and was formerly a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, Los Angeles, California, Alabaster, Alabama and Bronx, New York.
Victor was born on February 25,1948 to Servano Jongko and Magdalena M. Jongko (Montilla), in Agusan, Philippines. On April 30, 1981 he married Edna Andrea Archilla in Quezon City, Philippines.
Victor was a musician from a young age. As a founding member of The Lumberjacks he was known for his drumming. Later as a member of The Sounds of the 60’s, and The Howlers, Victor was also known for his crooning style of singing. Victor held a bachelor’s degree in finance.
Victor is survived by his beloved wife Edna; his daughter Eva Marie Swafford (Sean) and his son Randolfo Hilario Jongko (Glenda); his siblings: Leo Francisco M. Jongko, Carlos (Boy) Isidro M. Jongko, Minda Zita M. Jongko, Horacio (Bebe) M. Jongko, Marichu (Tata) J. Flores (Jongko); his grandchildren: Toni Marie Soulguard, Brian Vincent Molina (Jessica), Andrea Marie Tietjen (Zachary), Christopher Brandon Swafford, Kiara Marie Jongko Catalan (Abbe Marc), Regenald Jongko (Bea), Jarod Michael Swafford (Raeanne), Rafael Anthony Jongko and great grandchildren Lauren, Drew, Maia, Tryston, Daemon, Marc Francis, Evangeline, Ava, Kian Marcus. Victor is also survived by many close family members and friends throughout the globe.
Victor was preceded by his parents, his sister Perla Genoveva J. Garcia (Jongko), and brother Arturo Castor M. Jongko Sr.

His inurnment will be held from 11:00am to 11:30am on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. The inurnment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance.



Vic, remembering the time when you, me and Chito used to learn Lettermen songs, and we’d look at each other after Take 1, surprised as we somehow knew exactly our parts. And we all burst into laughter! Then we perform those new songs live and get awesome reaction from the crowd! Ahh, those were happy times…. The world is colder without you, VIC, but your spirit lives on in us.”
