Vincent Cipriani, age 82, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1994 and formerly of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was retired from General Motors Company.
Vince Cipriani was born on July 7, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John and Joanna (Martini) Cipriani. Vince graduated in 1954 from Mackenzie High School, in Detroit, Michigan. He was also a graduate of the Detroit Police Academy, Recruit Class of October 21, 1957. In addition to his long career with GM, Vince was a Detroit police officer for four years. Vince married Norma Jean Koch on April 30, 1955 in Emmet, Michigan.
Vince enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed the company of his two dogs, Anabel and Lady. Vince volunteered at the Colorado Springs Police Department for over 20 years.
He is survived by his daughter; Terry (husband, Martin) Dubetz of Fort Myers Beach, Florida; his sons, John Vincent (wife, Karen) Cipriani of Fenandina Beach, Florida and David Cipriani (wife, Sandra) of Colorado Springs; his granddaughter, Kara (husband Patrick) Jeter; and his great grandson, Eli Jeter.
Also surviving Vince is his sister, Cynthia Carlson of Tucson, Arizona.
Vince was preceded in his death by his wife, Jean, his sister, Jean Cipriani, and his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Shrine of Remembrance, “America the Beautiful” Chapel, in Colorado Springs, CO. There will be a short reception after the service. Information will be provided at that time.
