Virginia “Ginny” Etta Leyden
Virginia Etta Leyden, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2014. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 39 years and was formerly a resident of District Heights, Maryland.
Virginia Leyden was born on May 18, 1923 to John and Lillian (Dow) O’Neill in Lowell, Massachusetts.
She attended Lowell High School and Lowell Commercial College. She worked as a Professional Secretary for B&M Railroad, for Civil Service at the United States Pentagon, and for Colorado College for many years.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Fahey, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Virginia requested that no services be held.
Memorials in Ginny’s name may be made to the Humane Society of The Pikes Peak Region.
