Walter D. Olmstead (Walt) passed away peacefully in the early hours of September 13, 2019 after a brief bout with pneumonia just a month after celebrating his 92nd birthday. He would want to be remembered for his pride in his work and work ethic (35 years with Western Electric being a supervisor on the crew that installed the first telephone switching equipment in the Air Force Academy and NORAD) and his fiercely protective love for his family (his wife of nearly 70 years, 2 daughters, 2 granddaughters, 3 great-granddaughters, 1 grandson, and 3 great-grandsons) in whose hearts he will live on.
