Willabeth “Beth” Virginia (Albrecht) Babcock – November 12, 2025

Willabeth “Beth” Virginia (Albrecht) Babcock was born on July 4, 1934, to Freddie “Fritz” Jacob Albrecht and Selina Virginia Fredericka (Lohmann) Albrecht in Guymon, Oklahoma. Most people knew her as Beth. She had lived in Oklahoma, Colorado Springs and Black Forest, Colorado, and was a long-time resident of Peyton, Colorado. Beth was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and a friend. She passed away on November 12, 2025.

Beth loved to crochet, make things with plastic canvas, and sew. She was always busy working on one project or another. If someone had a baby, they received a blanket made especially for them from Beth. She was also active in the National Association for Family and Community Education (FCE) group.

Beth worked in the kitchen at Fort Carson. She later worked at Safetran for many years. She took care of her mother and father. After which Beth kept working by babysitting, especially her grandchildren, cleaning houses, and took shifts assisting senior citizens needing care at their homes. She often housesat for friends going on vacation and took care of their pets.

Beth’s favorite color was purple. She was a devoted Broncos fan and watched as many games as she could. Beth collected windchimes, recipes (especially Pioneer Woman cookbooks), and liked hummingbirds and columbine flowers. She loved to grow flowers and plants in her garden and work around her yard. Beth was an avid photographer, never without a camera and loved to take pictures of family and friends. She enjoyed taking trips to visit loved ones and liked to go camping with her family.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Selina Albrecht; her brother, Freddie Jacob Albrecht Jr.; granddaughter, Kassandra Marie Babcock; the fathers of her children, Jim Brown and Boyda Lee Babcock.

She is survived by her brother, Floyd Dean Albrecht and his wife, Linda Y. (Lieweke) Albrecht; her sons: Lloyd Dean Babcock, Boyda Bryan Babcock, and Russell Scott Babcock and his wife, Katherine A. (Kroeger) Babcock; 2 granddaughters, Jessica Ruth (Babcock) Blaine and Krissa Lynn Babcock; grandson, Stephen Babcock; great-granddaughter, Daisy Rae Blaine; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
