Adelina Zingle, 72, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on November 16th, after a battle with cancer.

Adelina was born on April 12th to Ignacio and Mary Jane (Arellano) Garcia in Clayton, New Mexico.  She traveled the US prior to settling in Colorado Springs, as her dad was in the Air Force.

Adelina enjoyed working in her yard, crocheting, making doll clothes, doing crafts and spending time with family.  She was known for her amazing skills in the kitchen where she baked the best homemade cookies, cakes and candies.  She loved that she was able to teach her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews and several others to cook and bake one of her many specialties.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.  Left to her memory she leaves two daughters, 4 grandkids, 5 great grandkids, two sisters, two brothers and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 2pm on Monday, November 22nd at Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs.

We will all miss her story telling of the past and willingness to help others.

This Obituary Has 2 Condolences

  1. Thank you for always welcoming us into your home with love and kindness. My brothers and I often mention you when we reminisce about our childhood trips to Colorado Springs. You definitely have a reputation of being a talker (ha ha!), but I also remember you being a good listener to us kids! We’re glad to know that, even now, you are still the wonderful person we always knew. We will ALWAYS remember you. Thanks for your love. Condolences to the family. -Andrew Arellano

  2. May God comfort and strength to each family member and friends. She was beautiful , full of kindness. A treasure , I will sorely miss my niece. Rest in the arms of Jesus. I love you forever.
