Alberta Bertha Romero, 81, of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026. She was born on May 10, 1945, in San Juan del Río, Durango, Mexico, to Clemente Santos and Eustolia Pescador.
Alberta loved her home and, above all, her family. She was a strong, unwavering protector who cared deeply for the people she loved. She absolutely loved traveling with her family, making memories together wherever they went. Dancing was her passion, and she found great joy in music, gardening, and celebrating life with the people around her.
Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, Clemente Santos and Eustolia Pescador; her first husband, Joe Romero; her infant son, Michael; her second husband, Raul Ramirez; three sisters; and two brothers.
She is survived by her children: Bobby Romero; Annette Martinez and her husband, Jesus Martinez; Michael Romero and his wife, Roseanne Romero; and Alicia Lobato and her husband, Frankie Lobato.
She leaves behind her grandchildren: Rudy Romero, Cassandra Minard, Jesus Martinez, Isaac Mascarenas, Anthony Romero, Joseph Martinez, Delilah Mascarenas, Sophia Romero, and Alexis Lobato, as well as her great-grandchildren, who brought her much love and joy.
Alberta will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, her protective spirit, her love of travel, and especially her passion for dancing. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
