Anita Dagazo Anteola, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at the age of 95, at Springs Village Care Center.

Anita was born August 30, 1928, in Dagami, Leyte, Philippines Islands to her loving parents Vicente Robo Dagazo and Victoria Montoban Raquel.

On May 20, 1947, Anita married Marciano Gomangan Anteola. She was a devout Catholic who cherished her faith, her family and her husband of almost 40 years, who preceded her in death in 1986.

Anita was a long-time resident of Security, Colorado since November 1956, and an Army wife who traveled the world with her husband and children. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed gardening and crafting with her friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Maximo Dagazo; sister-in-law, Aurelia Dagazo; and daughters-in-law: Susan Anteola and Jeanette Anteola.

She is survived by her adult children: Marciano Anteola, Jr. of Houston, Texas, Teresita Brown (Dick) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Victoria Fleming (Bob) of Hugo, Minnesota, Andrew Anteola of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Maria Capps (Buddy) of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Socorro Marbibi of the Philippines; many nieces and nephews in the Philippines and Canada. Surviving grandchildren: Cindy Hodges (Dan), Christy Brown (John), Marquel Anteola (Matt Havlik), Marisa Owen (Bryson), Olivia Fleming, Kara Erickson (Jason), Shanna Fleming, Alissa Fanning (Andrew), Andrew Anteola, Jr., Nathaniel Anteola, Darren DeLoach, Sarah Simental (Angel), Lillian Moody (Trevor), James Harden, and Thomas Whetstone. Surviving great-grandchildren: Calvin Hodges, Lauren Hodges, Violet Owen, Parker Owen, Amelia Havlik, and Ingrid Havlik.

The family expresses their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of Springs Village Care Center who cared for Anita for many years. She loved her sweet treats and playing bingo there.

Anita’s Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 S. Highway 85-87, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80911. Visitation 12:00 – 1:00 pm, Rosary 1:00 pm, Funeral Mass 1:30 pm with reception to follow at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Burial will be on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 11:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
