Anne Catherine Herring, beloved daughter of Brett and Mikela Herring, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2026, at 3 months of age.
She was born on May 28, 2026, in Colorado Springs and brought immeasurable love and joy to everyone who knew her. Though her time with us was brief, Annie touched many hearts with her smile, beautiful blue eyes, and cute disposition.
She will be deeply missed by her parents, grandparents Terry and Roberta Tucker and Chris and Rhonda Herring; uncle Andrew; and many relatives and friends.
Her memory will live on in the love she brought into our lives and in the countless precious moments we shared with her. As Psalm 4:8 says, “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety,” we find comfort knowing Annie is with her Lord in Heaven, and we will see her again.
A funeral service will be held Monday, October 5, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the USAFA Community Chapel, 5134 Cathedral Dr., Air Force Academy, CO 80840. Interment will follow immediately at the Air Force Academy Cemetery, 3026 Parade Loop Rd., Air Force Academy, CO 80840, and a reception will follow at the Fellowship Hall on the lower level of the USAFA Community Chapel.
