Arnell Duane Ferguson 76 years old passed away on November 28, 2021. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 40 years. He moved there from Langdon, ND. He was a mechanical engineer and wrote government proposals for ITT. 

   Duane was born December 2, 1944 to Arthur and Mary Ann Ferguson (Jorde) in Barksdale Field, LA. On August 28, 1965 he married Barbara (Hughes) in Grand Forks, ND.

   Duane enjoyed life by reading and working puzzles (crosswords, sudoku, jigsaw). He loved watching John Wayne movies and he enjoyed helping his family with home remodeling. Duane had a heart of gold and loved helping people. 

   He was a member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church since 1981.

   He attended Central High School in Grand Forks, ND and graduated in 1963. He graduated from the University of ND in February of 1968. 

   He is survived by Barbara, his loving wife of 56 years; his children John Ferguson (Margo), Cathy Lopez (Richard), Michael Ferguson (Misty) and Catie Cantrell-Ferguson. He has two grandchildren, Sean Besson and Alexis (Cameron); and one great grandson, Caleb. 

   He was preceded in death by his father Arthur, his mother Mary Ann, his sister Juanita Hagness and his brother Bob. He also had a daughter Pamela Gail Ferguson who died as an infant in 1971.

   A visitation will be held at 9am on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 with a Rosary at 9:30 followed by Mass at 10am at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 4925 N Carefree Circle, Colorado Springs, CO 80917. A reception will be held at the church following the Mass. Memorials in Duane’s name may be made to Holy Apostles. 

   Private inurnment will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Song of Mary Columbarium.
