Ashley Louise Galentin – June 25, 2026

COLORADO SPRINGS – Ashley Louise Galentin, age 39 of Colorado Springs, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

She was born on July 11,1986, to Gerald Michael Galentin and Theresa Conchita Vigil. She graduated from Chandler-Gilbert Community College with a degree of Associate of Applied Science in General Business. She continued schooling and graduated from Arizona State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Wellness as well as Regis University in 2012 with a degree in Nursing. Ashley then joined the Air Force and was stationed in Biloxi where she became a Captain Select, U.S. Air Force, Nurse Manager. She served one tour of duty for nine months in Dubai.

After serving her country for eight years in the Air Force, she returned home to Colorado and worked at Denver Health and Common Spirit till September 2025. She dedicated her career to med-surg nursing and was passionate about patient care.

While serving in Biloxi, Ashley came to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her relationship with Jesus transformed her life and impacted how she served others. When Ashley moved to Colorado Springs, she attended Radiant Church and got involved in their groups. Ashley crossed paths with Redemption Squad Ministry when she attended an event in Canon City but later connected with them when she inadvertently moved on the same street as them. She grew to love RSM and became passionate about volunteering and supporting them.

She will be remembered by her contagious smile, encouragement to others, and her love for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ashley was preceded in death by her father, Gerald M. Galentin; grandfather, Robert Galentin; aunt, Carol Miles; aunt, Judi Fernandez; cousin, Matt Morris; grandfather, Epifanio Vigil; grandmother, Susie Ashe; great aunt, Grace Ashe. She is survived by her mother Theresa C. Vigil, of Pueblo West, CO; brother, Travis (Chelsea) Vigil-Ballew of Greeley, CO; brother, Chance Galentin of Brighton, CO; brother, Chris (Nina) Galentin of Florida, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life service will take place Monday, July 13, 2026, at 10:00am at Radiant Church Central Campus, 4020 Maizeland Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80909 with Pastor Zach Sheehan, Founder of Redemption Squad Ministry, officiating. A luncheon will be served at the conclusion of the service.

John 14:1-6 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
