Bernard “Bernie” C. Ball made his final ride into the sunset on April 14th, 2026. Bernie was born on May 1st, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie, of 43 years. He has a sister, Marvina (Jeff) Jones; brother-in-law, Mike (Anna) Worley and sister-in-law, Pam (Pete) Pedersen. Uncle Bernie has a number of nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews that he was so proud of and loved dearly. Preceding him in death were his parents, Mary and Marvin Ball.
Bernie’s father was in the Army, which meant he moved several times growing up. Bernie graduated from Fountain Ft. Carson High School and also attended Pikes Peak Community College. While in high school, he started working for Safeway Stores Inc. He retired from Safeway after thirty-three years, attaining the position of Assistant Manager. The last job he had before completely retiring was with Harrison School District as a bus driver for 10 years.
Bernie was blessed to have many friends and former coworkers throughout his life. Traveling was something that he enjoyed with Debbie and friends. Bernie’s greatest hobby was his love of cars and motorcycles. Harley Davidson motorcycles were a part of his life for over 30 years. He loved going to events like Sturgis, SD., which he attended many times with his friends. During his life, the things Bernie valued were family, friends, and trying to find the humor in things whenever possible.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Pikes Peak Hospice.
Anyone wishing to make any donations in his memory, please make them to Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation, 2550 Tenderfoot Hill St., Colorado Springs, CO 80906.

Bernie was the best friend anyone could hope for and was family to us. He will be missed immensely. We are wishing Debbie and the rest of the family peace and comfort in all the memories Bernie left behind. May he rest in peace.
Bernie was an awesome man! He loved his wife dearly. Bernie brought a smile to my face the moment I walked in his house. Being his hospice nurse was a blessing, he always wanted to put my other patient’s needs before his. This just shows the type of person he was! Bernie you blessed me more than you will ever know! I will miss your goofy self! Debbie, I am here for you! You are family now and I will be a call away for the hard times and the good times!! I love you!
