Bettie Jo Benzel, age 86, passed away on November 8th, 2023. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for over 50 years and formerly a resident of San Antonio, TX.
Bettie Jo loved to read, and she enjoyed listening and dancing to country music.
Bettie was born on March 23, 1937, to Lucille (Mitchell) Corrales in San Antonio and married the love of her life, Everett Benzel, on April 15th, 1962, also in San Antonio, TX.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Kandel and Darryl Hess; her grandchildren, Tyler and Zachary; her sister, Diane Maines, and nephew, Darren Maines. She was preceded in death by Everett Benzel.
The family will hold a private memorial.
