Brittney, age 24, passed away on June 27, 2023. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 24 years. She was a nanny for multiple families.

She was born on December 17, 1998, to Ricky Jay Severt and Lisa Lynn (Bolen) Severt in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Brittney was fond of camping, hiking, paddleboarding, and going to the beach. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and simply loved being outside in the summer sun. She also found joy in playing with the children she cared for. She graduated from Pine Creek High School in 2017 and attended college at CSU in Fort Collins. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in 2021.

She is survived by her loving mother, Lisa Severt; her sister, Katlynn Severt; her grandmother, Margaret Bolen; her uncle and aunt: Johnny and Karen (Bolen) King; her grandmother, Betty Severt; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gordon Severt; her father, Ricky Severt; her aunt, Krista (Bolen) Stannard; her great-grandmother, Ethel Deak; her great-grandmother, Lolette Bolen; her second cousin, Gary Scott Bolen; and her grandfather, Max Bolen.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on July 12, 2023, at The Shrine of Remembrance, “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. A reception will be held following the memorial service at Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard and Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
