Cheryl Dianne Wichman passed away peacefully at her home on March 6, 2023, after a long illness. She was 76 years old. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for 76 years. She was a homemaker and foster mom to 13 children.

Cheryl was born on January 29, 1947, to Allen Stoker and Melba (Litchfield) Stoker in Colorado Springs. She attended Palmer High School. On March 21, 1963, she married Roger Leonard Wichman in Colorado Springs.

Cheryl was fond of animals. She enjoyed ice skating, watching bull riding, and hockey. She also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Wichman; her children: Tricia (Greg) Oglesby, Byron Wichman, and Brent (Kristie) Wichman, and Christina Fransua. She is also survived by her brother, Clifford Stoker and his wife Cheri Stoker and by her niece’s Shannon Larson and Andrea Grant. Also, by her grandchildren: Joshua and Denise Oglesby, Grant and Melissa Oglesby, Shasha Martinez, Leah and Brandon Davis, Brandon Wichman, Candice Rissel, Zoey Smarr, Kylie Wichman, Phoebe Wichman, and Ethan Wichman; and great-grandchildren: Gwenyth Oglesby, Isaiah Montano, Noah Thompson, Kitauna Thompson, Andrew Davis, Alexas Oglesby, Axel Davis, Riley Oglesby, Archer Davis, and Cannon Oglesby. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deedra Kay Wichman.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00am on March 17, 2023, at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. with her burial at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy. to follow at 12pm. A reception will be held following the burial at Grace Mountain Church, 3195 Airport Rd.

Thanks to the upbringing they and her Grandparents gave her. I am so blessed to have the Parents-in-law that I have. I am so glad that my Mother in law knew our loving Father Jesus Christ and taught and instilled this in her Children. I feel so blessed that I knew Cheryl and am a part of this wonderful God fearing Family. I thank God for the love, and welcome, she gave me, when I met the Family, and, throughout the years of being in this wonderful Family. Cheryl is now in heaven with her loving Parents, and Daughter.

Trips to Glenwood Springs, Christmas Party at the Broadmoor, fishing trips with your parents and our little ones. You loved your family and raised great kids.
