Dale Claude Stewart, 70 years, passed away on September 20, 2023. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 34 years and was formerly a resident of Elmira, NY. He was a construction coordinator with Comcast.

Dale was born on March 12, 1953, to Wilbur Jesse Stewart and Eleanor Flora (Bebee) Stewart in Elmira, NY. On May 4th, 1973, he married Carol Larrison in Elmira, NY.

Dale, often known as “Stewie”, was fond of the outdoors; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding ATVs, and camping. Furthermore, he liked archery, shooting skeet, and was a gun aficionado. Dale was also known as “Papa” and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids. Papa had a love for sports, especially when it came to the New York Yankees and NASCAR. He attended the Southside High School and graduated in 1971. He served in the United States Army for 8 years.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Larrison-Stewart; his sister, Carolyn (Richard) Kelsey; and brother, Wilbur Jr. “Bill” (Ellen) Stewart; his children: Lisa and Michael (Katie) Stewart; his grandchildren: Logan, Landon, and Maddux Stewart; siblings-in-law: Mike, Cindy, William “Skip”, David, Jay, Walt, Danny; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Stewart; mother, Eleanor Stewart; father-in-law, George Larrison; mother-in-law, Patricia Larrison; brother, Gary Stewart; and sister-in-law, Jane Stewart.

A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.

A reception will be held following the service from 12-2PM at The Farm Gathering Place, 11141 Ridgeline Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80921.
