David M. Escalante, age 93, passed away October 6, 2023. He was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for 69 years. He was a retired United States Air Force TSGT and former computer operator.

David was born on December 25, 1929, in Beeville, Texas. He joined the military in 1948 and married the love of his life, Edna Joyce Kuecken, on August 1, 1953.

David was fond of camping and fishing with his family. He loved all activities with family, and he was so proud of all of them. He was a member of the Catholic Church and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. He served in the United States Air Force and retired in 1968 after 20 years of service.

He is survived by his 6 children: Judith Ann, Patricia Lynn, David Anthony, Andrew Jay, Peter Martin, Paul John; 16 grandchildren, over 30 great-grandchildren and many family members in the Houston, Texas area.

A Funeral Mass will be held October 27, 2023, at 10:00 am, located at the Shrine of Remembrance, “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. A Celebration of Life will be held afterwards at the Pikes Peak Towers at 1:00 pm, 1912 Eastlake Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Lunch will be served beforehand at 12:00 pm.
