Dawn Syslo, age 66, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022. She was a resident of Colorado for much of her life. Dawn was happily retired from her many years as a school secretary with a local school district. She was an extremely hard worker and always the best dressed wherever she went.

Dawn was born Saturday, July 28, 1956, to Reuben and Yvonne (Bollers) Gettman. She was born in Colorado and spent her childhood in Hudson. She was a city girl living the country life.

Dawn was funny, resilient, and most of all, loving. Her ability to be honest and express herself was honorable. She loved watering her trees in the backyard, long phone calls with her favorite people, dressing up for and celebrating holidays. Dawn served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. She would reminisce about her days in the service and was proud of the work she accomplished.

She is survived by her loving children, Evan and Erin; and her siblings, Gail, Gary, Mark, Lana, and Tina.

Dawn was preceded in death by her mother and father; her niece Lisa; and her friend/neighbor Nancy.

A memorial service will be held at Rocky Mountain Calvary Church at 3:00PM, Friday, October 14, 2022.
