Dorothy Ann (Prochnow) Linberg passed away February 11, 2023 surrounded by family after a lengthy illness. She was born in New London, Wisconsin to Herbert and Mayme Prochnow. She was the fifth of ten children and grew up on the family farm in New London. She married Robert E. Linberg in 1954 and traveled around the world during his Army career before settling in Colorado Springs in 1967. They had three daughters.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters: Robbin (Dave) Thompson of Parker, CO, Rea (Jeff) Gray of Colorado Springs, CO, Renee Parrish of Colorado Springs, CO; five grandchildren: Ryan (Kim) Spilman, Christopher (Katie) West, Sarah (Marty) Maness, Rhianna (Darrell) Neville, Nicolas (Lianne) Parrish; and ten great-grandchildren: Hayden, Jackson, and Chloe Maness, Cadence Neville, Sebastian and Olivia West, Margaret and Emilia Spilman, Eli and Charlotte Parrish. She is preceded in death by her parents, six of her siblings (Vivian, Arline, Kenneth, Donald, David, Karen). She is also survived by a brother, Leslie (Mary Lou), and two sisters, Marilyn Oertel and Carol (Dick) Stern, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dorothy loved life and lived life to the fullest. She held a variety of employment throughout her lifetime including owning a few of her own businesses. She was a member of Divine Redeemer Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Catholic Charities of Central Colorado, Divine Redeemer Catholic Church or charity of your choice.

Please join us for a rosary and viewing on Thursday, February 23, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 24, at 10:00 AM at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A celebration of life luncheon will be held following the funeral service at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 S. Union Blvd., Colorado Springs.
